My sister and her husband are going to Acapulco in may and looking for a good resort or hotel on the beach and preferrably not in the busy part of the downtown. I myself stayed in a hotel in the downtown area and it is not very quite or relaxing. Alot of noise and pollution from the cars. Any good advise?Acapulco beach hotels or resorts?
If you are looking for the best of the best you should try Punta Diamante Area and there The Grand Mayan (http://www.thegrandmayan.com.mx/english/… . The hotel is located inside the Mayan Resorts (http://www.mayanresorts.com/), just across the exit of the “Autopista del Sol” highway. In their installations they have:
* Swimming pool: one of the longest in Latin America.
* Aqua Park a fantastic world of waterfalls, slides, and toboggans
* Brio Health Spa %26amp; Fitness Center with facials, massages, body treatments, beauty salon and gym with cardiovascular equipment.
* Turtle refuge: an incredible and unforgettable family experience.
* 18-hole par 72 golf course: with Club House, restaurant, and Pro Shop.
* Tennis courts: lit for day or night play.
* Art and Culture Center: evenings with great international shows
* Jade Boutique with whatever is needed for the beach, handicrafts and gifts.
* Lake and navigation canal on the premises: for boating on pedal boats and kayaks
* Beach: almost a kilometer long
* Restaurants and bars: under the direction of the best chefs in the country.
Other options are Mayan Palace Acapulco (http://www.mayanpalace.com/acap/) or Mayan Sea Gardens (http://www.seagarden.com.mx/acap/),Acapulco beach hotels or resorts?
In the downtown area one of the nicest I have stayed at is the ';Emporio.'; Good service, nice rooms - ALL facing the ocean, lovely swimming pool, good beach, great ';palapa'; style beach restaurant and the finest Saturday breakfast buffet I have ever seen ANYWHERE!
Out of town, I have heard the ';Mayan Resorts'; are all good as well as the Diamante. My personal preference would have to be the Acapulco Princess. For years this was THE standard for Acapulco luxury, now fully renovated it is still a spendid place to stay with one of the finest sets of swimming pools in town!
Yes, the Pierre Marques is a beautiful great hotel... but it´s not in Acapúlco Bay. Of course, you can always take a taxi cab 15 minute ride into acapulco.
If they want a beach hotel in acapulco, try the Hyatt, on the beach; the El Cano, also on a very nice beach, more family type, the Villa Vera, not on the beach, but very sofisticated, some rooms with private swiming pool;
In ';old'; acapulco, my favorite is the Boca Chica hotel, with a great restaurant... also visit the Hotel El Mirador, an old classic, where the cliff divers are.
There are literally hundreds of good/great hotels in acapulco, depends on your budget and requirements.
Have a great stay.
There are lots of great hotels, but I would go with the Princess.
The ones that are more popular are the Princess and the Mayan resorts. I stayed at the Princess for a few days, and it was very nice, and I would recommend it. I also stayed at the Pierre Marquesa, and that was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The all-inclusive package was great, and everyone was very nice.
