I'm planning a trip for May of 2008 and want to go somewhere warm with beach hotels, and entertainment. Ideas?

I would strongly suggest contacting a good travel professional. Because with recommendations from family/friends/yahoo answers/etc. What is right for anyone of these people might not be right for you. Everyone travels different and has different expectations.





With a good travel agent, they will ask you various questions to help determine where they feel is the best destination and hotel all while doing there best to stay within your given budget. There are just so many possibilities of beach vacations! The agent can also work with you out of your specific city because depending on where you are going to be departing will determine the islands/places that have the best schedules and price depending on what your travel budget is.





Plus with an agent you have a direct contact for questions, concerns, honest opinions, etc. Many agents will charge a VERY nominal service fee.





Like any industry there are good %26amp; bad agents. Usually you can tell outright if one is good or even being honest with you for that matter. If you encounter one that isn't helping you, try another. Once you find a good one I would recommend sticking with them!





It's good you are looking into starting the planning process now. Generally the airlines are cutting the number of flights to help try and ensure full flights so book in advance, but not to far in advance. This is another thing an agent can talk to you about when is even a good time to book. They can also tell you if a price is even a good price or worth it for that matter. Again this expertise only comes with experience so an agent who is very new to the game if you will, might not be the best choice to work with especially in helping you figure out a place to go. They will lack the experience of guiding you in the right direction.





Remember passports are now required for all US citizens for travel in the Caribbean, Mexico %26amp; Canada 鈥?including all children.

Nassau Bahamas. I was looking at the Sandals resort and it was pretty reasonable, then I found out they were running a 40% off special for the dates I wanted to book. It was in March so if it's possible to change the date you might want to watch for specials.


But Nassau is beautiful, my idea of paradise. (from the pictures)

they are all inclusive vacations including flight, hotel, unlimited food, alcohol and all tips paid. Activities at the resorts are great... many extra things to do. Beautiful destinations.
