HELP- I am trying to find a nice small beach hotel (50 or less rooms) not full of kids near a small town. Search engines throw up plenty of sites for beach hotels, but when looking at the sites they want towns or cities for search criteria- not what I am looking for!Small beach hotels in Italy or Spain?

hmm..in capri, italy! there is this very quite hotel. it's not small but hardly any kids because there are adult pools and they have great food there and great hotel rooms its very relaxing its called Grand Hotel Quisisana.

I can't directly answer your question, but a nice little beach town called Sitges (about an hour train ride south of Barcelona) sounds like just the type of place you may enjoy.
