I am going to Titanic Beach Hotel and Resort at Lara Beach, Antalya in October, and i have no idea what currency is best to take.
Ive read some reviews that most of the things at this hotel are charged in Euros. But i know i can get more for my money in Lira.
OUr hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere so id rather just take with me the currency i need and not have to bother exchanging it over there.
What would you suggest? What currency should i take to Turkey. Staying Lara Beach (Titanic Beach Hotel and Resort)?
When you travel in Turkey, they will usually write the currency in liras or euros and I know places that accept dollars. I usually take my credit card and debit card and then go to an atm. (When you enter the country, you can purchase a visa with most major currencies and even a credit/debit card, but the first time I went it was down and i had 0 cash on me.). Your best bet is to take 50 in your native currency and any amount you want in liras. Call your hotel ahead of time to see if there is an atm located within the hotel or in the surrounding area (there should be). Just be sure to call your credit card company and your bank to notify them that you will be traveling outside of the country, otherwise they may not let certain charges go through.
Do not take traveler's cheques, they operate at a higher exchange value and most places have stopped taking them anyway. What currency should i take to Turkey. Staying Lara Beach (Titanic Beach Hotel and Resort)?
You could use US Dollars, Turkish Liras, or Euros. I prefer that you use the Turkish Liras.
It's easier that way, since they won't have to worry about trying to exchange it for you on the spot.
It's also better if you have your money exchanged to Turkish Liras while you're in America or before you leave the airport in Turkey.
If you use your US Dollars at different stores throughout Turkey, they will give you a lower exchange rate for your money than what you would get in America or at the airport.
I know recently the exchange rate of the Turkish lira to the euro went right down. So perhaps it is best to look at the exchange rate at that time.
Also bear in mind of the exchange rate of the euro to the turkish lira in resort will not be very good. You would effectively be changing money twice.
I would take Turkish lira.
you would definately get a better deal over here , keep an eye on the exchange rates then buy your currency when its up up up you will also get the chance to sell it back for free if you dont mannage to spend it all, the airport and on the plane accept currency in 拢's and in lira too but i would keep some 拢 notes with you as well
i would say take pounds, dollars or euros....everywhere takes these currencies...even the markets. when you get there...you could change up a little money into Turkish Lira....but our experience was that we didn't need it %26amp; other currencies where preferred to their own.
i think you still need 拢10 to enter the country...or at least that's how it used to be.
Turkish dollers, genius.
euro or dollars will do. they usually go up against lira.
kurdish or turkish dollars
U.S dollars, Euros or GBPs.
