Which are the good but affordable beach hotels in dar es salaam? budget of 80 dollars a night?

I don't know about hotels that are right on the beach, but you can find places within about 6 blocks from the beach for about $10 to $15 a night. There are more expensive ones with air conditioning, for about $30 to $45 a night.

One of the good hotels is called Luther House. It is very near the beach (in sight), it is secure, and it is close to the only pizza place in Tanzania. Being part of a church, it is also a place that is gender-separated.

A common backpacker's hotel is Safari Inn, on Libya Street. That is the instruction for a taxi driver to find it -- Libya Street off of Bibi Titi Mohammed. This one is 10,000 shillings for one person a night (about $9), 15,000 shillings for two people a night -- with fans but no A/C. This is close to the beach if you are accustomed to a bit of walking. Within sight of it (if no vacancy) is the Econo Lodge which is a little more expensive, and the Jambo Inn which is same price but not as clean.

There is also the Holiday Inn, which you can reserve from the States before going. But they are around $150 a night, so it is outside the budget.

If you truly want to stay on the beach, you should go to Bagamoyo. That is the place for sun and fun, and it is possible to find hotel rooms for about $30 a night. If you want to stay in a ';hut'; -- it has electricity and all that but is set up as a stereotypical tourist's idea of a hut -- that is only about $8 a night. Those are within a minute's walk to the water.

I hope that some of this helps!Which are the good but affordable beach hotels in dar es salaam? budget of 80 dollars a night?
