I remember reading someone's post about the free parking at nearby hotels to where we are staying at Waikiki Beach Hotel.

There's street parking on the Ala Wai, if you are lucky.Free parking near Waikiki Beach Hotel?
There are a small number of street parking spaces available on Ala Wai Boulevard. However, these spaces are very hard to come by since they are most often occupied by residents of the area who do not have parking in their respective apartment buildings.
There is also metered parking around Kapiolani Park but the hours which you can park there is limited by parking restrictions and meter limits.
