Room upgrade worth it at ';Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel formerly ResortQuest';?

My wife and I are planning a trip to Honolulu and staying at the ';Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel formerly ResortQuest';. Is it worth it to upgrade to a PARTIAL Ocean View room versus the normal, cheapest room? We can't seem to find any pictures or virtual tours of the PARTIAL Ocean View room to make a decision.Room upgrade worth it at ';Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel formerly ResortQuest';?
It depends on what you're trying to achieive. Partial ocean view rooms in Hawaii mean that you MIGHT be able to see the ocean from your room from a window. It could mean that you can see a little bit of the ocean from your balcony or window but that you might have to strain to do so.

The cheapest rooms are often the ones facing the inside of the hotel (meaning garden views) so these are ones that you won't be able to see the ocean at all from any window or door opening.

The rooms are often the same size regardless of which price you pay.....so it's completely up to you if seeing the ocean out a window is important to you or not.

Hope that helps.....good luck and happy travels!Room upgrade worth it at ';Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel formerly ResortQuest';?
Either go to the Full Ocean View (and ask for every 4th night free, by the way), which is usuallly not much more than a partial ocean view, OR pay the partial ocan view rate and ask for a free upgrade to the Full Ocean View, or pay for the Standard room. Be sure to check Priceline and Hotwire if you have definite travel daes.

Me: If I want a view, I go down to the lobby, walk out the door, and walk on to the beach. That's a view!
