Ocean Front South Beach Hotel Close to everything?

I have never been to south beach and we are planning to go there.I don't know the area and I need help.We want to go to a 4 star hotel that is on the beach so we can have a ocean view room but at the same time we want to be close to all the clubs/bars and resturant?

I just got back from my first trip to SoBe, and the trip was a blast. Most of the restaurants are located on ocean drive btw 5th and 13th street, they call it SoBe Strip. Majority of good night clubs and bars are located within the general vicinity of 2 mile across the Strip and a bit north. We were there for 7 nights, and decided to rent a ocean view 2 bedroom condo btw 4 of us, it was called Barbizon, located btw 5th and 6th st. The condo had a great view, and a lot of amenities had beach umbrella, chairs, iron, kitchen appliances and utensils, rooms and mattress were in great condition and comfortable, plenty of towels, etc. One thing you don't get that you get in hotels is daily room service.





Going to the clubs outside the strip, we just took a cab and was around $8-10. Let me know if you want good recommendation for night clubs, and things to do.
